ITINERARY
1. Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. You will be able to visit one of these museums each day and each has places to eat lunch. It is the largest indoor-outdoor museum complex in the world.! If you want to do more (at extra cost), there is an IMAX theater, vintage car rides in the village, and the Auto-motive Hall of Fame, nearby. On Saturday afternoon, a side trip to the National Automotive History Collec-tion ( automotive library archives) is also possible.
2. Ford Piquette Plant. Piquette is the factory where the Ford Models B, C, F, K, R, S and the first 12,000 Model T s were built before production was moved to the Highland Plant in 1910. The plant was renovated just a few years ago. Not only will we be having a guided tour of the Piquette, it is reserved for our catered dinner there.
3. Overnite. We will be staying just outside of Dearborn overnite. You will have a choice of double or single rooms (at extra cost). Please indicate a choice of roommate if you have one.
Cost: $195 for a double room, double occupancy, and $222 for a single room. Paid in advance. Payment is due no later than May 5th. The cost is non-refundable unless you get someone else to take your place. Let me know if you have a choice for a roommate, otherwise I will assign one.
Here’s what you get. Bus transportation, admissions to all 3 museums, Piquette Plant tour, continental breakfast on Sunday, and Saturday dinner, including taxes. As in the past, I’ll have some bottled water, snacks and videos on the bus. We will have a 55-passenger bus with a restroom. This trip is open to non-club members.
